What is Forró Project Party + Workshop?
Forró Project Party + Workshop is a monthly event and cozy social dance evening that aims to promote forró in Stockholm and expand its community. The event is part of the Stockholm Forró Project that is founded by Muss Mesmari.
Why should you visit us?
We organize good forró parties where you can dance, listen to great music by a talented DJ, meet old friends, make new ones, and have a great time on a Friday evening.

Do not have a dance partner?
It is very common in forró events to come without a dance partner. We pair up during the workshop, and we dance with everyone at the parties.

Discount:
All you need is to fulfill one of the following requirements:
A ) 20% discount if you bring new person(s) to forró or forró community in Stockholm. For more information about our discount, click here.
B ) 20% discount if all of you are new to forró or forró community in Stockholm. For more information about our discount, click here.
C ) 20% discount if you do not live in Stockholm and you are here for a short visit, fill in this form to get the discount.
D ) 20% off when attending Forró Stockholm classes, i. e. , becoming a member of the organization. For more info about membership, contact Forró Stockholm.
How to claim the discount:
- Start the shopping process by clicking on the green “Buy Now” button as usual.
- You will be then asked whether you are all new to our events, bringing new people to forró or not. Click on one of the “20% discount” buttons.
- In the next step, you will be required to add your name and email as well as your friends’ names. Complete the form then click on the green “Continue” button.
- You will then be redirected to the tickets page. It has reduced prices with a 20% discount.
- Choose your ticket and the number of tickets, then pay.
Important to know!
– We are non profit organization and the goal of our discount is to promote forró in Stockholm.
– We also would like to remind you that any violation of our discount system will cause us to cancel the invalid discount and make an immediate refund after contacting the person via email.

Receipts:
The receipt is your ticket(s). You will be receiving it via email once you complete your payment. Keep it and show it to us at the door.

Artists:
Ian Martinelle is a dance teacher from Rio de Janeiro. He’s been dancing for over ten years, going through different dance styles and specializing in Forró and Samba de Gafieira. To read more about Ian, click here.
João Ferrari is a DJ and musician from Rio de Janeiro. João is also a PhD student in music at the federal university of Rio de Janeiro. To read more about João, click here.
Shoes:
We recommend you wear something comfortable like indoor shoes. Please clean your shoes before going in or change your shoes so we can have a nice and clean dance floor.
Fika:
We sell different sorts of snacks and offer free coffee and tea.
Food:
Unfortunately, we won’t be selling our soup, the Caldinho de Feijão. However, there will be fika, coffee, tea, and snacks as usual.
